Dec 14, 2023 · I am planning a trip for a group of educators during spring break. Proposed dates are 3/26-3/29. Everyone is over 40. There will most likely be all women. Looking for a great resort with good food and atmosphere. A spa would be awesome. Are there any recommendations for adults only resorts at $400 or less per night?

Unless you're staying at a resort, Cancun is not a good base for touring around. It's not a particularly charming or interesting city and it's quite a drive to get to places. In contrast, Merida makes a great base for driving to see Maya sites, cenotes, small towns, beaches, etc. Two days is much too little for Merida and too much for Cancun, imho.Avenida Kukulkan. It's one of the world's great cities, full of different areas and attractions. That being said, I agree that Merida and Cancun could be a more logical pairing. It would be about a 2 hr flight from Mexico City to Cancun or a 4.5 hr bus ride from Merida to Cancun. Merida is vibrant and full of history and culture.Cancun, Mexico.
