Just heard a friends new Heretic and Sundara. Quite impressive for the money. I haven't heard that many lower end Schiit integrateds. It's not as good as the Lyr, but its a lot cheaper. I agree the highs are from the dry/mechanical school, but, I was using my Gumby A1 which is pretty mellow. An Sabre might very well have been worse.

Bifrost2 has amazing macro and micro dynamic character with plenty of texture in the mids. Qutest is more of a high resolution DAC with great separation and imaging.
