The Ruger will set you back probably about $100 more to start (22/45 doesn't come in stainless), and there are perhaps more accessories for it. I'm not sure that's true. The Ruger Mark IV has 8 models currently in production. The Browning Buck Mark has 38. Revision: I went back to Ruger's website and apparently didn't drill down far enough the first time. They have many more iterations of each model. That said, Browning still has too many models to not being selling extremely well.
Tisunac. •. Both great target guns. Mark IV probably more popular among the 22lr crowd. Victory probably a bit heavier, which can be good or bad depending on what you like. A ton of aftermarket accessories for both. My Victory with Volquartsen barrel and TK trigger (and a red dot) is very accurate.

I think the S&W Victory is the first serious competitor to the Browning and Ruger. For the most part I will use it for target shooting and plinking. Right now I’m trying to decide between the Browning Buck Mark and the Ruger Mark IV but am open to other options. There are also a lot of options available including the new Glock .22, Smith and Wesson recently came out with a reliable 22 pistol as well, but they are rather new.
