I still haven't made up my mind if it was worth losing access to a fully open map, where I could just quickly consult it any time I wondered where something was plus all the work put into it, just to get a few saved bits from the Ark. You also lose perks from the DLCs like enchanced seed bag, and campfire travel (until you go get them again).
