Accessory or On mode: Press the ENGINE START/STOP button once without pressing the brake pedal for Accessory mode. Press it again for On mode. Apparently in Accessory Mode power is only coming from 12 volt battery, which can easily be depleted in about 1 hour in Accessory Mode. She was listening to the radio, but there were probably other things on also. I called the dealer and was told that the batteries in these cars would drain after 5 to 10 min on accessory mode.

Sounds like your issue could potentially be a software glitch. I would assume this is a push button to start vehicle.
