The Daily Events operate on an 11 day cycle, that is predictable. Because of this, it is easy to save resources and score rather well on the Solo Leader Board (SLB) events. Some fo these events overlap, and players can double dip to complete the events quickly with a good reward. The trick is to not spend resources until the appropriate event hits.

You shouldn't have any difficulty getting those BPs before you need them without purchasing them in the event store. Grab those scout ships now while your 28 ships can easily get to the meaty ones and the exchange rate is good. It gets a fair bit harder at lvl30.
