when I remove a bandage it says that the wound is infected. Does it mean my character is going to be zombified or is it simply a wound infecion? Antibiotic only work for regular wound infection. It doesn't remove them, it make them less strong. So basically it's worthless since they are a non-issue in the first place. As long as you do not stand around corpse you will immediately reduce the sickness. Once it's under a specific threeshold (see your moodlet) you will be fine. For now.
You got the zombie infection. You can get it a few ways… scratches have a small chance, lacerations have a decent chance and bites have a guaranteed infection. You can hurt yourself by climbing through a broken window or running unprotected through trees then bandage yourself with a (dirty) bandage and contracted the virus that way.if you ...

I use Sandbox+ as well as hide infected moodlet. I took a laceration that quickly killed me through (I assume) infection, but I couldn't see it as the moodlet is hidden (I like suspance). I have infection kill time set at 12 hours but it only took about 6, but I did have the sickly trait. There is 'Wound' infection which appears in the health panel; It makes the wound take longer to heal, and happens when you fail to properly clean your bandages and keep the wound clean. And there is the Knox Infection.Only if the bite turned into a bite wound. Your clothes can protect a bite from resulting in a wound. But if it resulted in a bite wound then it will always be shown as a bite wound. Burns take awhile, I walked into a trapped house and got four burns, survived but I think it took about two weeks until the last one healed. Hopefully you have a safe place to spend your time and plenty of supplies. Using sterilized bandages and keeping it clean will help it heal faster but expect to be hobbling for awhile. #3.
