Hi guys, I replaced my OEM thermostat housing in my 2014 Cruze 1.8 today due to having code P0597 - Thermostat heater control circuit open as well as it leaking coolant. I replaced with Dorman 902-033, figuring it was a fix all unit that would last longer. I've properly filled and bled the cooling system, but can not get coolant temps past 170F.With misfire problems, always start off with a compression test, this is easy on the Cruze. Not easy on a FWD with a V-8, can't even see the four back spark plug holes let alone try to hook up a compression gauge.
