I've been having almost the complete opposite experience lol. Game will play perfectly fine when launched from Battlenet, but when playing from Steam it is constant stuttering, lag and packet burst. Literally unplayable... I have had warzone installed for years on my PC without issue, then when MW3 dropped nothing but issues.
