I have a 4020 that is not getting any fuel to the injectors. I have bled the system and transfer pump is pumping good up to the injector pump. But when I crack the injectors nothing. There is a 5/16 bolt on the outward side of the injector pump. If I loosen this bolt, it will run normally but shoots fuel out the hole.disconnect all the lines & linkages.. remove the side cover on the pump, 2 flat head screws, drain.. 2 lines under the side cover, 1 is stationary & 1 rotates.. rotate engine until BOTH lines line-up & stop.. After doing some more checking, it became obvious that there still had to be a resistor in the circuit of the generator light.4020 starting problems. My '64 4020, has issues with not turning over fast enough to start. Reasonably new starter, new batteries 550 cca, new cable clamps. Had a mech. look at it, and came down to ground strap corrosion. Installed new ground strap, (24v pos. ground system) connected right to diff bolt, after filing to clean metal.Total for the rebuild was $700 but was still cheaper than buying a reman brake valve, at least according to the local JD dealer anyway. I just replaced mine ($15 from Deere) on my 2510 and it made a huge difference.
