Long time reader, first time poster. I have a 783 that I've had for 20 years or so and it has always had issues with either getting it to extract or, more recently, eject. I recently replaced both the extractor and feedthroat to fix the extract/eject issues. You are on a MARLIN Model 783 bolt action rifle chambered in .22WMR caliber. This is a vintage JM marked rifle in excellent overall condition. 22" barrel and full length magazine tube are excellent with bright blue finish. "JM" marked. Bore remains bright with crisp rifling.

I have an issue with a model 783 22 mag I bought a few days ago. No matter how many rounds I load in the tube I can't get the inner tube to go back in over them. Can somebody tell me the difference between the Marlin 783 and 883 in 22 wmr? I know they are both tube fed and the 983 is clip fed, but can't really tell the difference between them.
