Star citizen scan not working.
It's due to server performance - it seems to take time to create the crate before you can start filling. You can see on the UI above the box progress. It says "0.0 / 0.0" before the box is created, and "0.0 / 1.0" when the box is ready. The only thing that consistently works is waiting.
One way to PREVENT it is to keep the salvage laser on when you fill up the first box and it's readying the 2nd one. Just don't stop, even if you lose out on a little bit of potential salvage. Prospector will only 'sometimes' be able to scan asteroids. There are a few supposed work-arounds out there, but some of them can break the game enough you have to restart. Best fix for now is, don't mine asteroids. I went from harvesting them in Yela orbit to instead doing stuff on the surface of Yela.
