yes, when submerged they won't surface on their own, some times they tend to move very very slowly forward, but by default they don't float to the surface when you leave them submerged. It has the imprint icon, but in the water there's take oxygen interaction that probably blocking the imprint interaction.

So if you increase maturation timer to 50, then you have about 10 seconds to imprint for 100%. But you best be quick. And if you lower the maturation multiplier to like 10, then each imprint is only like 9-11% and there's no way to get 100%. If anyone knows good setting for 100% imprint and 1-2 cuddles before the dino matures, please let.me know.
