Comprised of marching bands from numerous HBCU's, the Battle of the Bands is a college tradition that dates back many years. This year's battle consists of bands from Alabama State, North Carolina A&T, Bethune-Cookman, South Carolina State, Norfolk State, and Tennessee State.
The National Battle of The Bands organization brought its annual event to Houston, Texas. The event was previously held in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over 37,000 people flocked to NRG Stadium to watch eight bands perform. Each participating band received a $10,000 check.First Band 5:45pm. Second Band 6:15pm. Third Band 6:45pm. Fourth Band 7:15pm.
