to locate spawn chunks start by dropping dirt,nether-rack or any other useless item near to point where you had spawned at start of the game and go to nether and wait 5 mins. comeback to over-world once you have waited for 5 mins. The ONLY thing you can do is break the beds and put them back to reset the POI and allow villagers to reclaim the bed. This is not quite so big a deal in breeders, but it *kills* iron farms. Hopefully this is resolved in 1.15. I figured out a way to fix this problem in my iron farms, by building a 3x2 wall between villager and zombie, top left and right of 2x3 wall is top slabs, middle is empty, bottom 3 are solid, this way when the villagers go from bed to composters, the top slabs break line of sight temporarily, which allows a brief window for the villagers to sleep every so often …This is my iron farm. I even tried to put a name tag on the zombie. I then tried it on creative mode with different builds and the same results with the villagers not spawning the golem.

I have created three different iron farm designs in an attempt to have one work on my server. The problem must be related to the server somehow because the farms did work when tested on singleplayer.
